What you’ll do

In a few words…

Abarca is igniting a revolution in healthcare.  We built our company on the belief that we are redefining pharmacy benefits with smarter technology, but this is just the beginning…

Making healthcare awesome is key to everything we do at Abarca, and so the Strategy to Execution team helps us reach those heights through service design, project and process improvement, and strategy planning! From Project and Process Improvement to Innovation and Business Enabling to Strategic Management, this team tackles existing and innovative programs or processes at Abarca to rethink, reshape and rework how we do what we do. Within this team members of the Business Enabling teams are personally invested in projects and goals.

As a Portfolio & Data Visualization Analyst, you’ll partner with internal business areas to provide the necessary data to identify opportunities and find better solutions. You’ll design and develop reporting and analytic solutions, converting project specifications, problem statements, and process requirements into interactive user interfaces. This visualization solution will also play a critical role in analyzing processes, identifying areas of improvement, and monitoring the performance of new processes and their key performance indicators (KPIs).  You’ll also partner with the Portfolio Manager to help us optimize the delivery of our strategic projects and programs.

In this role, you’ll occasionally manage approved projects from conception through completion, including scope, time, and budget, following our Project Management and Process Improvement methodology. You will be accountable for each assigned project and must document the status, agreements, and “learnings” from all meetings and presentations.

The fundamentals for the job…

  • Present analysis and reports to business partners, internal customers, and stakeholders.
  • Be a mentor to other Business partners, particularly in Power BI functionality and capabilities.
  • Evaluate current monitoring solution processes and identify possible enhancement options for new monitoring functionality or modifications to the existing ones.

  • Ensure monitoring solution options are thoroughly researched, analyzed, and documented.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure and improve the portfolio’s performance, value, health, and alignment. Examples of optimization processes include health checks.
  • Prepare and present reports and dashboards on the portfolio status, progress, performance, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the project portfolio manager in developing and implementing portfolio management processes, policies, and standards.
  • Administrate project management tools and support the team in troubleshooting issues with them.
  • Continuously monitor and update internal dashboards to reflect real-time project and process performance.
  • Work with the sponsor to define the scope, develop implementation plans, manage milestones, and develop and carry out appropriate communication plans with stakeholders; you also develop relationships with cross-functional partners and align project timelines to ensure they are completed by meeting client needs.
  • Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, direct and monitor day-to-day tasks, identify resources needed, and appropriately escalate functional, resource, and timeline issues.
  • Keep track of key milestones and adjust plans and resources to meet client needs.
  • Schedule and monitor project deliverables.
  • Coordinate communication with all areas that impact the project’s scope, budget, risk, and resources.
  • Manage and update the project plan using the Microsoft Project tool and inform the team of the status and deliverables.
