Job Description

We’re seeking a talented Data Scientist with expertise in Generative AI and Natural Language Processing to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of our cutting-edge generative AI systems. Working at the intersection of natural language processing and machine learning, you will contribute to the development of AI solutions directly impacting patient outcomes and Philips’ growth in the healthcare sector.

Your role:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, formulate problems, and deliver data-driven insights

  • Involve working in a team of data scientists and engineers in the development, testing, and deployment of algorithms, models, and machine learning systems.

  • Design, train, and evaluate large-scale generative models for various use cases, including text generation, summarization, code generation, and more.

  • Clean, preprocess, and curate vast amounts of textual data to ensure superior inputs for model training and validation.

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in generative AI research and integrate new techniques into the development process.

You’re the right fit if:

  • You hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing NLP and Ml/DL solutions in a professional or enterprise environment

  • Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries for data science and deep learning (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch)

  • Strong understanding of generative model architectures . Experience with LLMs, such as fine tuning, prompt engineering, data synthesis, automatic evaluation, and retrieval-augmented generation

  • Experience building and then iteratively refining model pipelines end-to-end, from data curation to evaluation

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, round out your profile
