As an Agility Senior Associate in at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank, Markets Technology team, you will contribute to the team by guiding and supporting solution delivery teams in adopting and adapting agile practices throughout the product development lifecycle. Leveraging your advanced knowledge of agile principles you will facilitate group discussions, decision-making processes, and collaborative activities to build continuous improvement and high performance. Your expertise in coaching, communication, and leadership will enable you to effectively manage complex projects, foster a culture of innovation, and enable the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

The Markets Data Lake team sits within the Data Strategies group in CIB Markets Technology; with a global team of circa 70 people across 10 locations.  We partner with all lines of business, driving forward their Data Strategy.  The Markets Data Lake enables the Markets business to maximize value from its data by providing a cloud-native collection of opinionated services to efficiently build, discover and consume data assets at scale. 

Job responsibilities

  • Facilitate the adoption and adaptation of agile methodologies within teams and provide guidance, training, and support to propel continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Work with SCRUM teams to ensure Agile best practice, continuous improvement and predictable delivery​, own 0–3-month sprint plans, ensuring that the priorities are understood and maintained.
  • Work closely with the Product Delivery Director on the future backlog to ensure requirements are in place and potential blockers/impediments are highlighted well in advance​, collaborate with stakeholders for continuous planning (Quarterly/PI Planning) including capacity planning & release planning
  • Organize and facilitate productive Agile ceremonies e.g., Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Sprint Demo
  • Manage and provide oversight for Jira hygiene, create and maintain JIRA hygiene dashboards, identify JIRA data integrity issues proactively and work with the team to fix it, maintain agile metrics and create plans towards improvement of team effectiveness.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on guiding teams to adopt agile methodologies and practices
  • Agile experience, leading and coaching Scrum teams
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing data to identify team effectiveness trends and areas of improvement
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in conflict resolution
  • Experience resolving impediments strategically and tactically at scale
  • Proven track record in leading Scrum and Kanban teams towards effectiveness and their business/product goals
  • Possess an executive presence and ability to coach multiple teams across the product
  • Sound understanding of Scaling framework such as SAFe, and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies
  • Skilled in using Agile project management tools like JIRA
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Agility / Scrum Master certifications
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner certification
  • Knowledge of Data domain
