Job Description

Overview:

SimBioSys is on a mission to transform cancer care, decision making, and patient experience through computational simulations. By virtualizing cancer, clinicians and patients are empowered with a better understanding of the disease and can assess all available options computationally to truly individualize treatment.

We are seeking an AI Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of medical imaging analysis software, both using deep learning and traditional computer vision approaches.

We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the research and development of convolutional neural network (CNN) based methods for the analysis of medical imaging. The work will involve development of state-of-the-art models to virtualize tumors and develop insights using simulation and prediction algorithms.

At SimBioSys we strive to build an open, inclusive, and diverse workplace. We celebrate what makes each of us unique and pride ourselves on growing as a team. We promote collaboration, accountability, and shared learning to best serve each other and our respective communities. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Broad expertise in machine learning frameworks (Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch) including design, implementation, and considerations for performance and scalability
  • Understanding of AI technologies; excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in designing prompts for complex queries
  • Experience with deep neural networks (CNN or other deep networks)
  • Experience with medical imaging (MRI, CT, PET, etc.) and image segmentation
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban) to collaborate effectively with developers and engineers during production implementation of machine learning solutions
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
