We are looking for an Innovation Research Engineer with Deep Learning and Robot Software experience for New Product Development. The journey involves combining cutting-edge technology with passionate, talented engineers. Your job will be to eliminate customer challenges and help our partners deliver solutions in a frictionless and scalable way. You will be working with our Product + Innovation teams, ensuring a tight link between new product development and real customer problems. You will facilitate collaboration between our innovation teams in the US and wider R&D teams in Denmark.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prototype product features that leverage cutting edge technologies making Universal Robots products more capable and easier to use.
  • Contribute to development of framework to bring Nvidia technologies including Isaac ROS into the Universal Robots platform.
  • Design tools and interfaces to allow Universal Robots users to leverage advances in commercial AI space in their production environments.
  • Being a key source of knowledge on Isaac ROS and the wider Nvidia Robotics/accelerated computing toolkits.
  • Develop prototype software for Polyscope X to test new Perception based programming concepts.

users and gathers their feedback.

 

Required Experience

  • Master’s or equivalent in Robotics, and/or Computer Science/Engineering with a concentration in Machine Learning, or Computer Vision
  • 2+ years of relevant post-graduate work experience
  • Experience with Nvidia machine learning ecosystem.
  • Full stack development experience preferred (Docker, Python, JavaScript, Angular)
  • Experience in a production development environment.
  • Experience with ROS2 (specifically Isaac ROS is a plus)
  • Experience in vision guided manipulation is a plus.
  • Experience with UR robots is a plus.

 

 

The position is based in North Reading, MA. We support a hybrid work schedule. This position requires some domestic and international travel to current and prospective customers and partners.
