Benefits to you

  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $37.20 – $57.70.  [OR the annual salary for this position is $77,376 – $120,012.]
  • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!

Location Highlights

Portland, Oregon was founded in 1845 (incorporated in 1851). It is the state’s largest city and the county seat for Multnomah County. It is named for Portland, Maine. Position Highlights

The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a Criminal Arraignment Data Analyst (Analyst 3).

In this role…

You will provide advanced data research and analysis services to the court. You will develop a thorough understanding of the Criminal Arraignment’s case data information. Analyze data from multiple sources and case management systems. Receive and refine requests for court data to clarify and document the goals of the project. Create visual tools and written reports to clearly communicate findings. Identify and collect data from various court applications. Collaborate with other analysts on interagency and OJD enterprise data analysis workgroups.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business, court administration, public administration, or a related field.
AND
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Note: Professional-level experience is defined as:

  • The ability to use independent judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
  • A level of specialized knowledge in the field of work with some authority for independent decision-making.
  • In-depth work requirements, such as data gathering, analysis and interpretation.
  • Interaction with a broad range of individuals.
  • Individual accountability for results.

Requested Skills and Attributes

  • Experience working in a court or other legal environment that included knowledge of drug court. 
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and reporting complex data, including recommending next steps.
  • Experience adapting or developing policies, forms, and best practices.
  • Experience presenting information clearly and logically, orally and in writing.
  • Experience designing or providing training for adult learners. 
  • Understanding of the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts within criminal or civil organizations.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  This position is FSLA exempt, therefore not eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Parking

Multnomah Circuit Court does not provide parking for courthouse or justice center staff.  Flexible spending accounts are available to reimburse parking or transportation costs up to a certain amount each month, if staff elect to have these funds held from their monthly paycheck. 

Criminal Background Check
You will be subject to a criminal background check if you are a finalist. Adverse results are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may result in disqualification if the circumstances are directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
