Position Summary

The Analytics and Insights Analyst provides detailed reporting and data analytics to VUE and Certiport Channel Sales and Business Development Teams. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to create, maintain and distribute dashboards, reports and scorecards. 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Data Visualization and Reporting:
    1. Design and develop informative data visualizations, dashboards, and reports in Power BI and Excel to help business leaders make data-driven decisions, leveraging data across multiple business units and divisions—as well as external data sources—collating such data for leadership to understand business-wide trends.
    2. Administrator of Certiport’s Power BI workspace.
    3. Design, develop, maintain, and deliver client reporting scorecards for Certiport clients every month, and other ad-hoc reports as required.
  2. Data Integrity and Consistency:
    1. Work with key stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency within reporting and definitions across the organization.
    2. Help keep data up to date with current business processes and initiatives.
  3. Training and Self-Service:
    1. Develop and train internal and external stakeholders to use the self-service tools available to them to answer business questions.
  4. Sales Leadership Support:
    1. Work with sales leadership to help develop and monitor performance against yearly sales quotas.
  5. SQL and Data Analysis:
    1. Run SQL queries to model data for reporting and data analysis to answer business questions across multiple divisions.
  6. OKR Dashboard Management:
    1. Build and maintain the multi-departmental OKR dashboard, work with all business divisions to develop and produce OKRs to track and report monthly.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in statistics, data science, business—with an emphasis in business data analysis, or a combination of industry-recognized certifications and experience in this domain.
  • Expertise in Excel (Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Expert certification preferred)
  • Expertise in Power BI development and administration (certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Teams (applicable certifications preferred)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R and/or other data science related coding languages

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills, with an understanding of how business data can inform business strategy
  • Proficient written, visual, and verbal communication skills (CCS Professional Communication certification encouraged)
  • Comfort in communicating complex data or analyses in easily accessible ways for internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders

Preferred Locations: Bloomington, MN and Lehi, UT

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $75,000 – $80,000
