Associate Director, Clinical Data Science Global Programmer 

 

As a Clinical Data Warehouse and Reporting Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our clinical data warehouse infrastructure and reporting solutions. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of clinical data while delivering actionable insights to support clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

 

Your main responsibilities are: 

 

  • Collaborate with clinical researchers, data scientists, and healthcare stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the clinical data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and data pipelines to integrate disparate clinical data sources (e.g., electronic health records, clinical trials data, medical devices data).
  • Develop SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from clinical databases and legacy systems into the data warehouse.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and data standardization processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of clinical data.
  • Design and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, or similar tools to provide insights into clinical outcomes, Data Review, patient populations, and healthcare performance metrics.
  • Perform data analysis and statistical modeling using SAS programming to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in clinical data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to facilitate data governance and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to optimize data warehouse performance, scalability, and security.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in clinical data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.

 

What you have to offer:

 

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Familiarity with data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytics techniques.
  • Certifications in SAS programming and/or healthcare informatics would be a plus
  • Proficiency in SAS programming for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC, HL7) and healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR).
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL programming.
  • Experience with SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, QLIK, Elluminate or similar reporting and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
