Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

  • The Azure Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and escalation assistance on Microsoft Azure services and other supported vendors to our partners through various communication channels
  • Azure Data Factory – how to browse the data pipeline, export data pipeline, write data pipeline in ADF
  • DataBricks – ability to write SQL in Azure DataBricks
  • Azure Data warehouse and Azure Synapse – ability to go in and write SQL, understand stored procedures, etc.
  • Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data
  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, web submissions, and emails from partners seeking technical support and provide basic technical assistance
  • Educate partners on supported technologies, research and diagnose issues, and propose solutions that enable partners to resolve their issues or become more self-sufficient
  • Manages assigned cases by prioritizing based on the severity of issues to adhere to service level objectives
  • Informs partners of progress and ensures that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner. Proven expertise in administrating and deploying Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions
  • Live near or willing to relocate to Arlington VA. Relocation assistance is available.
  • This position is part of our 24/7 operations team. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends requirements and doing analysis on the current system and provide best possible solutions.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

The Team

As a part of the US Strategy & Analytics Offering Portfolio, the AI & Data offering provides managed AI, Intelligent Automation, and Data DevOps services across the advise-implement-operate spectrum.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on technical support experience with Azure DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Experience with Data Lake environments
  • A strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation principles
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Live near or willing to relocate to Arlington VA. Relocation assistance is available.


Preferred

  • Azure certification
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills
  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
