Position Summary
Working at Etraveli Group means working at a company with grand plans and great expectations. You will have awesome colleagues together with whom you will solve complex problems in a fast-moving business. Our success is crucially dependent on being able to take automated and manual decisions with high precision and the BI team has a central position in allowing for this. We are a company where technological aspects are at the core of our commercial success and our business stakeholders typically have great knowledge of the backend concepts. This creates a demanding and rewarding environment for a BI developer.
Our BI team is tightly knit and is currently split across Sweden and India. The Athens office is densely populated with important business stakeholders (as well as other technical personnel). You being the first BI person on site in Greece will be a huge asset both to the BI team and to the rest of the organization. In total, we are eleven developers, and our processes and technical setup are mature, but constantly adapting to the business.
To strengthen our capabilities in analysis and data visualization, we are now recruiting a Business Intelligence Developer to join the BI team. The role will be located in Athens, Greece.
Responsibilities
You will be joining our BI team in creating and maintaining ETL flows and relevant business intelligence applications. Strategic analyses that require data acquisition or advanced data transformations also fall on the BI team.
Your role will require both a deep understanding of the business needs and the skill set to acquire, handle and analyze the relevant data. You will also have a close direct connection and collaboration with other groups and departments acting as stakeholders for the applications you develop. Moreover, you will be expected to coach and share your experience with junior members of the team.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- creating and maintaining ETL flows and relevant business intelligence applications created in QlikSense, QlikView and Looker.
- performing strategic analyses that require data acquisition or advanced data transformations
- information engineering and data modeling
- working closely and directly with stakeholders
- coaching and helping junior team members
Requirements
You need to be passionate about business and numbers since the job requires both a deep understanding of the business needs, as well as the ability to acquire, handle and analyze the relevant data. Personality-wise you are curious, methodical, ambitious and thorough. More formally, you have:
- a university degree in a quantitative field (economics, statistics, engineering or similar)
- 3 years of professional experience development in any Business Intelligence tools
- tech savvy and not opposed to using the terminal
- demonstrated abilities in data handling and data visualization
- strong communication skills including excellent command of spoken and written English
Benefits

- Hybrid working environment – having the opportunity to work both remotely and at the office enabling you flexibility! #LI-Hybrid
- Health Benefits – Through partners we offer a private health insurance plan. We also offer the possibility to use 2 extra medical leave days in case of need.

- Growth – We believe in personal development and continuous education, thus we offer the opportunity of role-related training on tools and best practices.
- We also like to schedule company/department/team activities and events outside the office space!
