Purpose of the role:

You will assist the Group BI team in designing, developing, and maintaining systems used to collect and analyse Business Intelligence data. The role includes development of data models and dashboards in line with business requirements.

What’s the job?

  • Maintain, develop, and analyse data pipelines from multiple systems
  • Respond to problems in databases, data processes, data products and services as they occur
  • Initiate actions to monitor services and identify trends to resolve problems and prevent future ones
  • Keep governance policies, processes and documentation up to date
  • Developing and maintaining data cleansing and data enrichment techniques
  • Support existing processes running in production and implement optimized solutions with limited guidance
  • Delivery of agreed outputs in a timely manner, including responding to change requests in open-minded fashion
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders and project teams to understand the business needs, create user stories and agree solution approach

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in developing Power BI data models
  • Good communications skills in English (min. B2) both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of data warehouse development and principles
  • Experience of developing and refining data warehouses on cloud systems (Databricks, Google Big Query)
  • Good Knowledge of Data Engineering Technologies such as SQL Server, Azure Data Lakes, IPAAS, Databricks etc
  • Good Excel Skills and good knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical Minded with good Problem-solving Skills
  • Knowledge/experience of Power BI, DAX, M, SQL and experience of implementing row level security (RLS)
  • Knowledge/experience of Power Automate
  • Knowledge/experience of Python
