Job Description

As a BI Developer in the team, you will be an essential part of the Reporting function, collaborating with analysts, data specialists, and business colleagues. Leveraging your expertise and previous experience, your role involves delivering projects end-to-end which deliver actionable insights that drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements. You will work closely with business users to gather requirements then design, build, and maintain efficient and sustainable BI solutions.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Identify opportunities to automate existing manual processes with business intelligence enhancements
  • Gather requirements, scope and design BI/reporting solutions in collaboration with business users
  • Develop BI/reporting solutions to support Food business operations as part of wider transformation projects
  • Coordinate the testing, training, and launch of solutions
  • Partner with Change Management and Finance teams to measure and report the impact of solutions
  • Continuously track usage of BI/reporting solutions to understand engagement and effectiveness
  • Provide technical leadership in selecting and deploying appropriate technologies
  • Plan and deliver daily operational support to ensure solution availability for business users
  • Support the Reporting function in cloud migration programme, decommissioning legacy solutions where possible

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Proven experience in leading the scoping, design, and delivery of BI/reporting solutions
  • Proficiency in data visualization and user experience design
  • Experience testing solutions and measuring impact, either independently or by collaborating with other analysts
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Advanced skills in Power BI
  • Familiarity of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or Synapse
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Python or R
  • Background in food retail or FMCG
