BI Solution Analyst
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The BI Solution Analyst will be a member of Novocure’s corporate analytics & data strategy team, participating in Business Intelligence activities and projects while ensuring cross functional, global alignment. This role will provide the technical and analytical capabilities necessary to support Novocure’s vision, mission and values as well as corporate objectives and OKRs.
This role will be proficient in BI development and analytics solution design, leveraging Novocure’s datalake and visualization tools to address current and future analytics needs. The BI Solution Analyst will ensure that the business in its various departments understands the data landscape and is provided with insight and actionable information to drive performance, identify growth levers and prepare for the future of data at Novocure.
The BI Solution Analyst is a full-time remote position reporting to the Associate Director, SAP Analytics, based in the US.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and delivery of reporting and analytics in BI tools, specifically Looker
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational data models, and complex query writing
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytics solution design
- Research, development, and implementation of appropriate data visualization and dashboarding techniques that can lead to improved business performance and goals
- Be responsive to the needs of the business, and bring forth innovative and scalable analytics solutions to solve internal needs
- Build relationships with business analytics specialists outside the IT department and partner with key stakeholders to promote data-driven decision-making, and analytical culture throughout the organization
- Maintain a current understanding of Novocure’s data landscape and all analytics/data initiatives and tools
- Continuously assess Novocure’s data landscape and tools against industry best practices
- Participate in improvement efforts as related to corporate analytics and data
- Assess new technologies and vendors to ensure Novocure’s analytics and data needs are being met
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
- 4+ years experience in working on Enterprise Data and Analytics initiatives, including leading complex reporting and analytics projects
- Proficiency with Google BigQuery and Looker
- Expertise in common, SQL-based data management tools
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis methodologies, and leverage multiple tools to solve complex business data challenges
- Experience in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, cognitive tools, and artificial intelligence a plus
- Understanding of system architecture and integration principles
- Demonstrated success in cross functional integration/relationships and execution
- Knowledge of SAP data structures a plus
- Demonstrated ability to engage and deliver solutions cross-functionally across Novocure’s business units
- Experience with a broad range of data analytics and visualization technologies
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Some knowledge of project management principles
- Results-oriented and fast learner
- Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
- Excellent communication skills
