As a Business Analyst at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Controls Shared Services technology team, you’ll play a key role in developing high-quality data sets using firmwide data to support control testing within our Retail Branch network. By incorporating best practices and collaborating with technologists, you’ll be integral to delivering critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting the firm’s business objectives.

As a Business Analyst within CCB Controls Shared Services technology team you will to  support the Branch Review team, which reviews the risk and controls within our Retail Branches. You will be responsible creating a processes, to gather data, create data sets and deliver data from Teradata (snowflake) to meet the needs and requirements of the business to support their monthly testing processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive and participate in business analysis activities to gather requirements
  • Translate business requirements into well-structured technical solutions, leveraging data analytics and technical knowledge to meet business needs..
  • Manage the migration of tools and applications to modern technology platforms (e.g. Cloud based solutions, Alteryx, Python)
  • Independently communicate with key stakeholders, understand their demand, manage SLAs and avoid surprises
  • Be a subject matter expert within the data space while developing a robust understanding of operations process and business knowledge
  • Develop robust documentation and adhere to the existing controls in place
  • Own, Identify, and implement best practices to improve efficiencies, accountable for delivering timely and accurate information
  • Drive consistency and standardization within the team

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in data and/or reporting function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, statistics, economics or information management
  • Self motivator and own  task from start to finish.
  • Strong technical background including hands-on experience with programs like SQL or SAS, , Alteryx
  • Knowledge of standard data warehousing structures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills: ability to identify key issues, gather and analyze data to support hypotheses, develop actionable recommendations and present analyses, conclusions and recommendations in a concise and cogent manner
  • Highly analytical, with demonstrable experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources and developing creative solutions
  • Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to set expectations, manage to timelines and deliver results

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with ICDW/snowflake
  • Python
  • Tableau

This role does not have a relocation allowance tied to it, so all candidates must be local to Columbus or willing to relocate on their own immediately upon hiring.  Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined by direct management.
