Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Business Data Analyst, MDM – SAP to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the creation, validation and maintenance of SAP data records. In this capacity, the analyst will ensure the precision and integrity of organizational data, diligently adhering to established data governance rules. Beyond data management, the position will play a pivotal role in team development, coaching and training fellow members to enhance their skills and capabilities in SAP. The role will actively engage in building comprehensive documentation and leveraging ticketing tools like Jira to streamline and enhance the workflow processes within the Master Data team. This versatile position will support the team’s mission to maintain data accuracy, uphold data standards and foster continuous improvement within master data management (MDM) practices.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Fiori and GUI tables for creating and implementing changes related to all MDM activities. Identify custom Transaction Codes required for MDM, recommend build strategies and develop or customize functionality as needed
- Develop and maintain Request Templates and create comprehensive documentation for all relevant MDM Fiori Tiles, ensuring consistency and accessibility
- Document all MDM scenarios and establish RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrices to clarify roles and responsibilities
- Act as a mentor for the MDM team, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer. Manage Jira tickets, monitor project statuses and effectively communicate ticket statuses to stakeholders Additionally, continue documentation efforts to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing and reference
- Support Jira request development, including building Jira request software templates, workflows and SLAs
- Continuously evaluate and improve MDM processes, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency Quantify potential requests to establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Provide guidance on MDM reporting and data extraction needs, including reviewing GUI table access. Build and maintain processes and workflows to facilitate efficient data reporting
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 2 years of experience with request ticketing software
- 4 years of experience in the field with a focus in SAP MDM a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- SAP Winshuttle experience a plus
- Experience with issue tracking software such as Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.
- SAP expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and functions relevant to master data management, including SAP Data Governance, SAP MDG, SAP ERP, and related tools
- Data integration: Skill in integrating master data across different systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy through data mapping, transformation and validation processes
- Data quality management: Experience in establishing data quality standards, monitoring data quality and implementing data cleansing and enrichment processes
- Data governance: Understanding of data governance principles, policies and practices to ensure data accuracy, security and compliance
- Data architecture: Familiarity with data architecture principles and best practices for designing scalable and efficient data structures
- Documentation: Proficiency in documenting data processes, workflows, data dictionaries and standard operating procedures
- Strategic thinking: Ability to think long-term and align master data strategies with broader business and organizational goals
- Problem-solving: Aptitude for identifying complex data issues and developing effective solutions, often in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision when managing critical data elements
- Communication: Skilled at conveying technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and actively listening to gather requirements and address concerns
- Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with various teams, departments and stakeholders to achieve common data-related objectives
- Change management: Skilled at planning, organizing and executing data management projects within specified timelines and budgets

- Salary: $70,000-$80,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
