Business Intelligence Analyst
Offering a salary of up to £45,000, plus excellent company benefits.
Full time, permanent role; with the advantage of being; Office based, Hybrid or Remote for the right person.
About the role:
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to housing maintenance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of our services, profitability and customer experience.
Key elements of the role will involve:
- Collect and organize data from various sources, including databases, data lakes, surveys, and reports.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain data models and reporting solutions to manage business performance.
- Create and present data-driven reports to support management in making informed decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather data and insights relevant to housing maintenance operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Assist in the development of predictive models and forecasting related to maintenance needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Contribute to best-practice management of central data stores and distribution of any data assets.

To support this, the business intelligence team play an active role in all stages of the data lifecycle from architectural design to generating actionable insight.

Role Criteria:
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a housing or property management context.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar, SSRS) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Pyspark, R).
- Knowledge/experience of data science solutions (ML, statistical analysis).
- Knowledge of social housing maintenance practices and regulations is advantageous.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, have great attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
As Mears has a footprint across the country there will be a degree of travel expected to attend meetings and training.
