Position Summary
As a Business Intelligence Analyst II, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of key dashboards and KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all departments.
Using data from systems such as SAP ERP, Jira, Salesforce, and SCADA, you will support cross-functional teams with advanced data analytics solutions aimed at improving operational performance and efficiency.
Your objective is to help Airbus US Space & Defense leverage data analytics to drive impactful business decisions and achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Designs, maintains, and enhances business-critical dashboards, ensuring they are updated with accurate and relevant data.
- Uses statistical techniques and data analytics to optimize operations and reduce costs.
- Partners with IT to ensure the seamless integration of data sources including SAP, Jira, SharePoint, SCADA, Salesforce, Costpoint, Supplier Portal and others, into Airbus US Space & Defense’s BI infrastructure post-merger.
- Collaborates with process owners to ensure smooth data transitions and system compatibility.
- Support various departments with customized analytics and ad-hoc reporting.
- Delivers regular reports on department and/or company performance, including monthly KPIs, quarterly performance reviews, and other strategic reports.
- Ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all dashboards and reports. Implement data governance and quality control measures to maintain reliable data streams.
- Executes advanced data analytics projects by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing complex datasets to provide actionable insights. Develops innovative data solutions that drive business decisions.
- Partners with IT teams to develop new data pipelines, ensure data is properly stored and structured, and troubleshoot any technical issues related to data sources or BI tools.
- Provide training, communication, and support for end-users to maximize the effectiveness of the BI tools
- Works closely with department heads and business process owners to identify their data needs, gather reporting requirements, and tailor data solutions to meet operational goals.
- Creates, maintains and enhances dashboards and KPIs across multiple departments, including Engineering, Programs, Industrial Planning, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Quality (QMS).
- Provides comprehensive training and support to end-users on BI tools, dashboards, and data analytics methods. Ensures stakeholders can access and effectively use BI tools for their specific needs.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and recommends data-driven improvements in business processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Solid foundation in data analytics, business intelligence, and data management.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Required:
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python for advanced data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ERP system and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub).
- Preferred: Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint ERP and Salesforce will be considered a plus. Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in operational performance optimization.
Experience:
- Required:
- Minimum 3 years of a combination of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and project leadership, in manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of the business processes for the following domains: manufacturing & testing engineering, production planning, manufacturing & testing execution, quality management, procurement, logistics, material management.
- Preferred: Experience in Aerospace industry will be considered a plus.

- Experienced in problem-solving and troubleshooting

- Required: Excellent U.S. English Written and Oral communication skills
Travel Required:
- 10% Domestic and International
- Active U. S. Passport strongly preferred
Clearance:
- Eligibility to receive a DoD SECRET clearance preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Onsite: 90%
- Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings throughout the business day and after hours as required.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms throughout the business day and after hours as required for meetings, telecons, telephone.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily, 30%.
- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment throughout the business day and after hours as required.
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs as required.
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs as required.
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools, occasional.
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. 80% of time in meetings and computer work station.
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving, rarely
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices, conducting presentations or on production floor 20%.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice, 10% domestic/international for proposal coordination
- Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces across campus, 5%.
