Business Intelligence Analyst II

 

(Hybrid/On-site/Local)

The Business Intelligence Analyst (Level 2) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data integration systems that enable Select Medical’s business operations teams to efficiently manage and analyze data. Key job responsibilities include developing reusable ETL workflows using programming languages such as SQL and Python, as well as tools like Oracle Data Integrator, to integrate data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), billing systems, and other third-party applications.

Responsibilities

This position requires close collaboration with clinical, business, and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements, design data models that meet regulatory and compliance needs, and ensure seamless data exchange between departments. Additionally, this role is expected to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data integrity, accuracy, and security, as well as optimize data pipeline performance to support business growth and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

Candidate will have a strong interest in reporting, analytics, and data (business intelligence).

 

Required:

  • BS or BA or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ yrs. ETL development experience.
  • 5+ yrs. SQL or other database query language experience.
  • 5+ yrs. business intelligence platform experience such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Microsoft Reporting Services, Cognos, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, etc.
  • Requires superior teamwork skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must; ability to read, write, and speak in a professional manner.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Must possess a personal sense of urgency.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Large scale multi-site IS operations experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of healthcare industry knowledge
