Job Description

Financial Crime Prevention is a high priority in Danske Bank, so we are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Continuous Development Unit in Customer Screening Area who wants to take a significant role in an area that is gaining global prominence among financial institutions and society in general.

In this role, you will have direct responsibility for Sanctions and PEP screening engine configuration management, optimization, and outgoing improvements implementation. In addition, you will support the current screening model with systemic and ad-hoc based solutions.

The role requires a data-driven, logically rational, and solution-focused mindset. To drive initiatives forward, your data analysis and problem-solving skills will be crucial. These qualities will empower you to make a substantial difference in the area. In addition, your growth in this role will be influenced by your ability to articulate and present ideas clearly and to maintain strong communication with different stakeholders.

You are a results-oriented person with a positive, proactive attitude who is self-motivated, able to identify problems, and willing to support the team. You will become a part of a diverse team of 8 Business Intelligence Analysts and a Team Lead who are at the forefront of driving Transaction Sanctions Screening related initiatives.

You will:

  • Be responsible for managing and optimising the screening engine, ensuring effective and efficient standards across the ecosystem. It will involve usage of specific software linked to screening engines
  • Use data insights to identify and propose new solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of screening model processes and controls
  • Have an integral role in investigating the performance of the screening technology platforms and associated processes
  • Conduct various testing activities, such as scenario adjustment, data preparation, analysis of output, etc.
  • Conduct impact assessment that can vary in their complexity, from simple analysis based on historical trends, to more complex assessments based on our ability to replicate model conditions
  • Be responsible for defining business requirements, performing operational impact assessments, and providing optimizations for the various solutions that are developed to support these processes
  • Create reports, potentially dashboards and make decisions on your own when necessary
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization while conducting analysis, reporting results with insights and recommendations

About you:

  • Hands-on experience in data analytics with SQL to access key data points and draw useful insights. Expertise in big data manipulation, transformation, and analysis with Python
  • Advanced process improvement, configuration, analytical skills, accompanied by ability to work independently to resolve discrepancies, defects and incidents
  • Robust workflow management skills to ensure efficiency, replicability, and accuracy of the output, as well as adequate documentation of the process
  • Strong creative component: ability to reimagine current processes, pioneer new initiatives, and contribute to agenda setting
  • Ability to express complex ideas and analysis in easily understandable form with visualised output
  • Self-driven, able to identify problems, and willing to support the team
  • Ability to improve or automate the team’s processes and reporting as well as 1 year of experience working in compliance, AML, or banking field would be considered a bonus
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 2800 EUR to 4200 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
