Business Intelligence Analyst – Procurement

Role description:
The Procurement Analyst role for Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America (AGP-NA) is a key position drawing insights from a variety of data sources to inform strategies that reduce third party spend, improve supply chain risk management, and deliver better goods and services, across the North America business. The insights gained from their work will be important in ensuring that Procurement is able to support the business and improve its competitive position in the markets it serves.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Head of Procurement Data & Analytics in producing analysis that directs decision makers in the procurement function and other areas of the business, towards strategies that reduce cost, mitigate risks in the supply chain, and improve procurement outcomes
- Create, update, and maintain regular analytical reports, such as KPI reporting and related dashboards which show how the procurement function is performing against its goals and objectives
- Generate and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports for use by the procurement function and other areas of the business, including the commercial and finance functions
- Work closely with procurement and other colleagues on a global basis to access, appraise, and analyze relevant datasets; helping to ensure that the procurement function has an up-to-date and accurate understanding of how much the business spends, where, on what, and with whom
- Assess quality of spend and other relevant data, working with the Head of Procurement Data & Analytics to develop plans to work with the wider business on strategies to improve data quality
Minimum skills / qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, supply chain, or a related field
- Excellent aptitude for manipulating and gaining insights from datasets, including the use of statistical and modelling techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Excel, and/or other data analysis and visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI
- Exposure to operations, supply chain, and procurement
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team setting
- Good communicator with the ability to present the results of an analysis clearly and in a manner appropriate for the target audience
Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Proficient in SAP, COUPA, and Power BI
- Ability to create P2P process maps, procedures, and best practices
- Two (2) years of experience in operations, supply chain, and procurement
