Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence and Strategy Analyst is responsible for developing both business and competitive intelligence for the North American region. The analyst will collect and analyze data inputs, request and foster feedback, and leverage relevant networks to help guide the team’s strategic priorities in support of company objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop Competitive Intelligence – 50%

– Act as a skilled and contributive member of the Airbus BIC (Business Intelligence Community) on North American topics by gathering, analyzing and sharing intelligence on products, market conditions, competitors and customers for business decision-making;

– Work closely together with (i) relevant intelligence sources within Airbus in NA (ii) BIC community members in NA, and (iii) a CI (Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager to secure CI network building

– Monitor competition, gather information and carefully curate information about Airbus’ competitive landscape (companies, products & solutions, market segments, industry trends).

– Create and maintain a repository of information via written reports, charts and graphs, electronic business intelligence support tools, and oral and visual presentations

– Propose and produce notes and memos on relevant and significant event in the NA industry on topics validated by the HO Strategy and CI (including potential M&A activity, product redesigns, revamped quality guidelines, etc)

– Formulate answers to ad hoc requests validated with the HO Strategy and CI

– Maintain strong awareness of compliance risks for the Company

Support the Development of Airbus North America Regional Strategy – 50%

-Work with the HO Strategy and CI to define & deploy the Strategic priorities roadmap for the North-American Region, both for Airbus commercial and Airbus Helicopters

-Work on strategic market assessment to determine optimum service and propose and implement Customer strategy for core & growth segments.

– Perform project management on a broad range of topics related to feeding and shaping corporate and regional strategy

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required in the preferred fields of Engineering, Aeronautical studies or Defense studies

  • Master’s degree or commensurate experience required

Experience:

Required: 3+ years of professional experience in Competitive Intelligence and/or Strategy

Preferred

Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Up to 25%, mainly domestic

Required : Good written and verbal communications skills. Fluent written and spoken English.

Complexity of the Role:

The role has a significant focus on external interfaces (business intelligence part), but it also has internal interfaces on the Strategy part.

Level of Decision Making: This role is an analyst and strategist operational role. Decision-making is limited to the scope of the job and in coordination with the manager.
