As a Business Intelligence Data Engineering Senior Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for taking the defined business requirements and provides analytical, modelling, dimensional modeling and testing to provide best outcomes for design against these customer’s requirements.
You will also be doing analysis, concentrates on understanding the business needs for data and information. The data engineer translates business information needs into data structures that are adaptable, extensible and sustainable.

Join the development organization for the Nasdaq Corporate Systems Business Intelligence Engineering Team. The main objective of for this development team is to build state of the are Business Intelligence solutions. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members.
Your role and responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for taking the defined business requirements and provides analytical, modelling, dimensional modeling and testing to provide the best outcomes for design against these customers’s requirements.
Analysis concentrates on understanding the business needs for data and information. The data engineer translates business information needs into data structures that are adaptable, extensible and sustainable.
Furthermore, you will:
- Develop technology platform on Azure Fabric Data Lakes, Azure Fabric Data Warehouse using Informatica ETL and/or Azure Data Factory, with a Power BI semantical layer.
- Monitors the design and implementation of the methods to extract data’s from different sources.
- Is responsible for identifying, analyzing and resolving technical problems with Nasdaq Data Platforms and related ecosystems.
- Monitors the team in writing ETL and data Transformation processes and job for Nasdaq Finance Data platforms using most suitable application and tools available.
- Oversees the overall process and dependencies of all jobs and monitor the corrective actions taken.
- Develops technical; and operational standards, procedures and technical d9ocuments.
- Responsible for developing, monitoring and reporting performance metrics.
- Pro-actively keeps knowledge and skills up-to-date and act as an expert in the field. Actively contributes to the Finance Data Engineering knowledge base.
- Actively works towards and directs others to ensure the project is being delivered within the assigned timeline and budget.
- Oversees the administrative tasks and make sure the team performs them in a timely manner and that information given is precise and complete. Ensure that the administration is done according to regulations, in order to keep the administration accurate and precise.
We expect you to have
- At least 5-7 years of experience working in Data Warehouse/Data Lake technologies (Azure, Databricks or related tools).
- Should have worked on any of the ETL tools (Informatica, Data Factory or other).
- Knowledge of Dimensional Modelling concepts and best practices.
- Expertise in Data Catalog (Pureview or other related tools) and SQL Server, SQL (queries, views, stored procedures, etc.).
- Education Qualification: Degree qualified in a computer related discipline, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
