A Business Intelligence Developer role involves working closely with data owners, technical leads, and team members to facility the curation of data and creation of dashboards and reporting.  The ideal candidate be responsible has experience in data analysis, data quality testing, and building reports that provide actionable insight.  They will also effectively monitor data availability, data consistency, report accuracy, and user adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain BI reports in PowerBI and DAX.
  • Create and maintain metrics, and supporting scheduled data collection jobs in python, and MySQL.
  • Take ownership of existing reporting and reporting data assets
  • Work closely with related groups to ensure business continuity.
  • Perform analysis on code bases to increase performance, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Work as part of the team to code review and test other members’ code changes.
  • Work as a member of one or more agile teams, using lean principles and SCRUM methodology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field)
  • Experience with PowerBI and DAX for report development (2-5 years)
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and querying (2-5 years)
  • Experience creating and maintaining data collection automation
  • Ability to work independently to deliver critical projects on time
  • Ability to work closely with others to problem solve
  • Experience with hosted environments, Google, AWS or other cloud service providers preferred
