The position is located onsite in the John Deere Canada Grimsby office five days per week.

 

This position will have a 12-month term starting September 2024. 

Your Responsibilities

 

In this co-op role, you will be an integral part of an Agile team dedicated to delivering Business Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence solutions using data analytics platforms and visualization tools to transform data into actionable insights. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing RPA solutions to automate and optimize business processes, with a focus on leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems.   • Work in Agile operating model and get an exposure to various concepts like backlog refinement, estimation, prioritization and roll out.
  • Perform business intelligence work: data storytelling with the goal of understanding the significance of data by placing it in a visual context through graphs, charts, and visuals helping people to understand patterns, trends, and insights by transforming data into a visual context.
  • Work with SharePoint Online, MS Power Apps, MS Flow, MS Power Virtual Agents, MS Power Automation, MS Canvas, and more.
  • Work with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, Paginated Reports and more.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Create technical and training documentation and videos to support the business in their use of the solutions that you deliver.
  • Work with other developers in a cooperative paired programming environment.
  • Brainstorm with the team to solve problems for a wide range of internal departments at John Deere (e.g., Legal, Accounting, Training).

What Skills You Need

 

  • Very strong technical aptitude and currently working towards a technical degree like Computer Science, Software Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Software programming skills necessary to create, test and support software applications – no specific software experience required but an overall technical aptitude is needed to be successful in the position.
  • Experience and understanding of user interface and design skills.
  • Understanding of application development environments, databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work and learn independently.

Education

 

Student must be pursuing an undergraduate or Masters degree in a technical field including but not limited to: Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering.
