Job Description

Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Manager (BIM) is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and system
administration of business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack and related
technologies. This person will turn data sources into appealing and understandable visualizations that improve
business insights and decisions pertaining to shipments, sales, and overall field execution. The BIM is
responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports for the
MEC Sales Teams. He/she will also present the solutions to the stakeholders to help them understand the
stories and insights hidden within their data.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop KPIs utilizing SSAS & Vertipaq Engine
  • Build and maintain current Power BI applications
  • Manage Power BI Data Models
  • Working knowledge of basic data query and manipulation concepts/languages: relevant experience includes basic relational database queries and data integration maintenance
  • Build ETLs and end-user reports utilizing Rest API and other Data sources
  • Provide quality end-user support across the full Business Intelligence platform
  • Complete ad-hoc troubleshooting of tooling and platforms as needed
  • Tracks new products, promotions, and special products; and provides track reporting to management.
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of internal/external market data: highlighting any underlying trends to identify new market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase the organization’s profitability
  • Ad Hoc LSEC Projects & Assignments
  • Consults with BDM on KPIs and user experience
  • Responsible for the generation of statistical reports
  • Tracks new products, promotions, and special products; and provides track reporting to management
  • Maintains weekly, monthly, and annual reporting to include but not limited to Dashboard reports, costing reports, store listing, etc. and as post as required
  • Highly proficient with SAP, VIP, and IDig sales reporting interface
  • Managing communication for special focuses, priorities, goals, and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare presentations for department and executive management

Position Requirements:

  • Prior project-based experience working on multi-person project plans
  • Collaborations with IT and other relevant departments to plan and execute project objectives
  • Prior experience creating content in a Business Intelligence platform (Power BI)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments while effectively manage deadlines
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to independently drive value on a technical team
  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and be able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in the strictest confidence
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
  • Flexibility to travel as needed

Pay Range = $99,600 – $117,000
