Job Description
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to join us at Shift, where we’re committed to enhancing the business lending landscape through smart data use. In this role, you’ll oversee our reporting functions and help us make informed strategic decisions. Your main task will be to manage and interpret data, turning it into understandable and useful insights for different teams.
This role is about more than just numbers; it’s about understanding what the data tells us and how it can guide Shift to better serve our clients in the business lending sector. We need someone who is not just technically skilled in business intelligence but also able to see the bigger picture and contribute to Shift’s steady growth in a meaningful way.

- Oversee Reporting Functions: Manage and refine Shift’s reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of critical business data to stakeholders.
- Strategic Decision-Making Support: Utilize data insights to support strategic decision-making, providing clear, actionable advice to guide the company’s direction in the business lending sector.
- Build Out Infrastructure Layers: Lead the development and enhancement of Shift’s data infrastructure layers, creating a robust, scalable platform that supports advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Maintain a high standard of data quality and integrity across all platforms and systems, implementing checks and balances to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and challenges, ensuring that the BI solutions developed are aligned with overall business objectives and enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience building a data governance layer
- Experience running an operational reporting function
- Experience in running an engineering team (or similar roadmap prioritisation)
