Content/Information Architect, Amazonian Experience & Technology
Job Description
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 5+ years’ architecture experience in a structured, component content management system
Amazonian Experience & Technology (AET) is seeking a Content Architect to help lead a content transformation that will support dynamic search, personalization, large language models, and other generative AI models.
AET provides employee benefits, services, and technology for Amazon’s entire global workforce of over 1M people. Within this organization, the AET Content team supports the creation, publication, and maintenance of personalized, relevant, timely, accurate, clear, and discoverable employment content for our employees. To deliver on this mission, we are simplifying the information and data strategy by migrating and consolidating content from varied sources into a structured authoring environment that supports multi-channel publishing at scale. We need a content architect to align unstructured content with our content model and expand upon models as new content requires.
In this role, you will help define the future state of AET content management in partnership with Technology, Product Management, Development, UX Design, and Authoring teams. You will contribute to decisions about which content requires structure to support reuse and a consistent user experience. You will extend the content model and metadata schema to accommodate new content types, and support direct content migration from multiple sources. You will work with stakeholders to adapt the model to suit new content needs, channels, and audiences, including artificial intelligence. You will establish a continuous improvement cycle to respond to feedback related to using and consuming content. Beyond the initial content transformation, you will define, develop, and maintain tenets, standards, and repeatable processes to guide and govern the onboarding of new content sets into the model and the maintenance of the model itself.
The ideal candidate has a track record of driving content strategy reliant on content architecture and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to translate ambiguity and incomplete information into insights and bias for action. You will have a customer-obsessed and data-driven approach, a strong desire to learn and be curious, and a willingness to dive deep to get things done.

- Test syncs between the CMS and legacy (migrating) platforms to ensure a smooth migration and accurate presentation of content.

- Provide business requirements to the CMS development team when new functionality is needed.
- Evaluate content usage data and user feedback to inform continuous improvement to the content architecture.
