Position Summary

As a Data Analysis Manager in our Fintech team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that strong monitoring processes are in place to continuously assess the company’s Fintech Flexibility products’ performance through a set of quantitative and qualitative metrics. You will also lead projects aimed at introducing new solutions and optimizations that promote performance excellence specifically for the travel sector. A key part of your role will involve taking ownership of reporting and alert system requirements, ensuring their proper utilization across different teams, and driving the introduction of automation, including machine learning capabilities, by providing valuable input to development teams.

In addition to leading performance improvements, you will work closely with internal business leaders and external partners to implement data-driven changes to processes, products, and services, ultimately increasing the company’s value in the travel industry. You’ll also oversee the department’s pipeline and priorities with a 360-degree approach, ensuring alignment across initiatives. A critical aspect of the role involves interpreting data to uncover patterns and trends related to flexibility products, giving it meaningful context, and offering strategic recommendations. You will ensure that all data analysts are aligned, maintaining the same high quality of work across the team while fostering innovative, outside-the-box thinking. You’ll supervise and guide the team, driving consistency and excellence in output.

This role is located in Athens and is part of the Etraveli Group’s Fintech Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for the company’s flexibility product’s portfolio in the travel sector.
  • Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly KPI analysis and collaborate closely with the Fintech product and solutions team to propose corrective actions that maximize impact on flexibility offerings.
  • Drive important cross-functional projects related to flexibility products that focus on KPI improvements and overall product performance.
  • Identify areas of risk, initiate ad-hoc analysis, and build models to assess the performance of flexibility solutions.
  • Support the evaluation of new fintech flexibility products, innovative options, and partners within the travel industry.
  • Develop new routines to address company business flow changes and serve as a key stakeholder in projects affecting flexibility product performance.
  • Ensure the adequacy of reporting packages, driving changes to optimize KPI monitoring and business visibility related to flexibility offerings.
  • Lead automation projects and introduce advanced alert mechanisms, incorporating machine learning to enhance the performance of flexibility products.
  • Provide guidance and ensure that all data analysts interpret data consistently, identifying trends and offering meaningful recommendations specific to flexibility products.
  • Promote consistency in quality of work across the team by fostering collaboration and adherence to best practices.
  • Think creatively to solve problems, supervise data analysis output, and guide business analysts in their work.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business, Science, Technology, or Engineering
  • Approximately 4-5 years of experience in a similar data analyst position
  • Proven experience as a Data Principal/Data Analysis Manager leading a team of Data Analysts.
  • Experience or knowledge in the fintech sector or large data analysis
  • Preferred, but not essential, knowledge of the travel industry and its dynamics
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Qlikview, Qliksense, Looker, Python, etc.) is highly appreciated; advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel) are required.
  • Strong numerical and organizational skills, with an understanding of business implications
  • Ability to interpret data, recognize patterns and trends, and provide meaningful recommendations
  • Proven experience in aligning data analysts to ensure consistent quality of work and results
  • Data-driven, 360-degree thinking combined with strong critical, analytical, and investigative skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership in a fast-growing environment
  • Capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach, and a willingness to think outside the box
  • Strong communication skills, can-do attitude, and excellent command of the English language
  • High level of responsibility and integrity, eager to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous change
