Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help the organization make informed decisions. You will work closely with different teams to develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that will facilitate data-driven decision-making. You will also be responsible for cleaning, transforming, and structuring data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large sets of data from various sources.
  • Complete ad hoc requests such as providing manpower or recruitment data.
  • Check that core reports are functioning correctly and potentially take over the maintenance of some core reporting.
  • Audit the use of Tableau dashboards and make recommendations for decommissioning.
  • Support with governance of access requirements from the business to sensitive people data
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide insights and recommendations based on the data.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights in the data to help drive business decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve data quality and automate data processing tasks.
  • Develop and maintain data models and databases.
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate, analyse and solve problems
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, capacity to align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in the way of effective team working
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders (verbal and written)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain trusting relationship with all stakeholders
  • Excellent business analytical skills and commercial awareness allowing to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement of service satisfaction
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and escalations
  • Ability to prioritise and maintain clear focus
  • Commitment to a service lead culture and process improvement
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills- able to translate requests into code and ask relevant questions. Able to qualify data requests with relevant constraints.
  • Good SQL skills
  • Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
