The Role:
We are currently seeking a data analyst, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in information science, to join our fast-growing Switzerland Team! This role will be responsible for preparing various external tax reporting datasets and reconciling against accounts, while driving automation and standardization of the work in an increasingly digitalized tax reporting environment. The role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a good command of Excel and SQL. The role is based in a state-of-the-art office close to the train station in Zug, with the option for remote work on Fridays. This role reports to the VAT Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams with highly experienced finance professionals. The preferred candidate would be interested in learning tax technical topics over the course of time to increase the responsibilities placed within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely delivery of complete accurate VAT, EC Sales Listing and Intrastat returns.
- Maintain VAT accounts reconciled and request resolution of discrepancies.
- Analyze transactional listings, identify risks to be investigated and/or mitigated.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for reporting.
- Participate in testing of continuous ERP and tax engine improvements.
- Anticipate and communicate to Treasury upcoming payments due to/from tax authorities.
- Ad hoc tasks and projects.
