Job Description

Bumble Inc. is seeking an experienced User Acquisition Analyst to work with our paid marketing stakeholders, take an integrated ecosystem approach and support critical business decisions across all our apps. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced analyst who enjoys the fast-paced environment of a growing company, has experience in marketing and has a passion to contribute to helping the Bumble Inc. mission to foster kind connections.
You would ideally have an extensive background in marketing analytics at an app-based tech company, with proven experience in driving commercial impact through applying analytics to critical business problems.
You bring the experience of working with complex sources of Paid Marketing data and use that knowledge to partner with stakeholders and senior leaders, taking a holistic approach to finding answers. You understand the high-level business model of the company and the primary drivers and output metrics to efficiently receive a stakeholder request, draft a project/insights brief and proactively ask for additional scope clarity where necessary.
Remaining laser-focused on the “so what” of the findings, and how the insights support business decisions you take an integrated perspective to analytics, consider all the potential drivers to a problem, review existing knowledge and bring in expertise for advice from other teams. You are passionate about continual improvement, both personally and for the team around you, you always look for feedback to strive for high quality of deliverables.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • You will contribute to data quality as it relates to the Paid Marketing domain, proactively working with Data and Analytics Engineering and other teams to improve data collection and modelling
  • You will build and manage self-serve data products, a knowledge base of insights, and provide direct support, to empower others to fully understand the value of data in their day-to-day work
  • You will deliver analytical roadmaps to support the longer-term vision of marketing measurement within the business. This includes reporting, handling of ad-hoc requests and data visibility, experimentation, and ongoing measurement of marketing campaigns
  • You will optimise and improve SKAN ETL pipelines and refine conversion value methodologies to ensure accurate and robust data collection and analysis
  • You will build, maintain, and interpret LTV prediction and ROAS calculations to optimise user acquisition campaigns
  • You will stay up-to-date with the industry and privacy trends, the paid UA landscape, and emerging technologies in data science and engineering

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Preference for a graduate degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Information Sciences, Economics, Finance, or STEM. PhD and Masters welcome
  • 3+ years of experience in data science and analytics preferably in Paid Marketing and User Acquisition domains with a strong understanding of multiple tactics, including Churn, LTV, ROAS
  • Preference for experience working in similar dating/social/gaming tech product industries or else app-based product, being able to elaborate on the business impact you have driven in your previous experience
  • You have a background working with complex data infrastructures and experience partnering and guiding the work of data engineering to help facilitate ingestion, warehousing, and optimisation of databases
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python, Looker or a similar visualisation platform. Familiarity with DBT is a plus
  • You have experience setting up experimentation, measurement, and data collection in the marketing domain
  • You keep an eye out on the industry, understanding how the wider dating industry influences our business strategies
