Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Information Services, the Data Analyst is responsible for
the Engineering and operation of Information Warehouses to provide data to the Decision Support, and the senior leadership teams, for the purposes of making informed business decisions.
 

The Data Analyst is responsible for designing high level data architecture that enables the organization’s transformation into a data driven organization.  In conjunction with the Digital transformation project leadership, and along with decision support team members, the Data Analyst will play a critical role in the overall data strategy with responsibilities for designing and implementing data lakes and data warehouses that leverages our investment in Cloud technology.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline, or equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years professional experience in information management, and data architecture design
  • Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills to facilitate, and communicate, both orally and in writing, in support of strategic objectives and project deliverables
  • Must be a self Starter, with strong Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualize data and business strategies
  • Attention to detail along with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Strong Team player with the ability to collaborate with internal peers and stakeholders to ensure data warehouse supports business needs
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with the Workday HRM OneModel data warehouse platform
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Experience working in the health care industry with Long Term Care homes or Community Care, and specifically with business applications such as PointClickCare, AlayaCare, Sage, Logibec, and other Health Information Systems
  • Strong understanding of disparate health IT systems and ability to recommend/propose efficient and effective data architectures and solutions
  • Experience in information exchange between  digital health care systems, and ability to leverage health care interoperability standards such as HL7 V2, or FHIR in development of data architecture solutions
  • A valid driver’s license and own transportation
