Aramark Sports + Entertainment is hiring a Data Analyst – Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, to support data analysis of food and beverage trends. This position will focus on data governance, advanced analysis and modeling, and data-backed recommendations to maximize opportunity.

The Data Science division is the epicenter of data analytics, uncovering impactful insights that put Aramark clients in the sports and entertainment industry ahead of the curve. COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Job Responsibilities
• Leverage consumer analytics to understand customer purchasing and dining behavior at Oracle Park. Identify key consumer segments and summarize data-driven findings in a statistically robust and visual way that resonates with a variety of stakeholders and audiences.
• Analyze business performance data from a multitude of sources including labor tracking, Point of Sale, and inventory management systems to identify opportunities to improve operations and recommend data-driven action plans.
• Generate ad-hoc analyses to measure the outcome of short-term strategies. Work with cross-functional teams to define insights and analytics required to measure success.
• Lead the creation and development of automated workflows for key performance reporting to multiple stakeholders including the Oracle Park operations team and San Francisco Giants.
• Assist in the development of robust data pipelines using common programming languages like python, R, and SQL.
• Perform machine learning experiments and model evaluation tasks under the guidance of the team’s Lead Data Scientist.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another scientific discipline. Master’s degree a plus, but not required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an analytical function preferred.
• Strong experience in data manipulation and transformation using Python or R.
• Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake and SQL.
• Experience with data science methods related to data cleaning, feature engineering, and predictive analytics.
• Understanding of core statistics concepts, data science methods, and experimental design.
• Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to interface with multiple levels of management are essential.
• Strong organizational, project management and time management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate findings, analysis, implications, and recommendations to varied stakeholder audiences
• Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office package, specifically a high level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Desired skills:
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts like classes, data abstraction, and inheritance.
• Experience working with Snowflake
• Working knowledge of Git and good practices in version control
• Ability to say, “I don’t know” and quickly fill knowledge gaps.
• Experience with dashboarding tools like Rshiny, PowerBI or QlikSense.
