We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled analytics leader to play a critical role in enabling the delivery of exceptional client experience through data driven decisions.

The Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Director reports directly to the Chief Data Officer and offers an excellent opportunity to shape and influence our data strategy. This position will be part of the newly established Data and Analytics team.

The purpose of this role is to enable the delivery exceptional client experience through data driven decisions. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across our business to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, business optimisation and improvements to client experience, by driving adoption of analytical practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver trusted MI and performance measurement to all key stakeholders – drive the design, delivery, and production of meaningful KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, reports and visualisation to enable effective decision making at all levels of the organisation
  • Analyse complex data sets, extract meaningful insights and identify opportunities that have the potential to impact customer experience, business performance and operational efficiency
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to define goals and develop implementation plans based on the insights and recommendations derived from data analysis
  • Regularly evaluate the outcomes and results of implemented initiatives, assessing their impact on key business metrics
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to senior executives, providing strategic recommendations based on data analysis
  • Communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in clear and compelling manner
  • Collaborate closely with senior executives and stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and translate insights into action that can accelerate business and client outcomes.
  • Lead, inspire and nurture a team of analytics and data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Promote diversity and inclusion, embracing a wide range of perspectives and experiences to drive creativity and foster a truly inclusive work environment
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues across Data and Analytics and technology to deliver outcomes that improve operational efficiency, client experience and business performance.
  • Develop and implement a multi-year analytics and data science strategy that enables delivery of exceptional client experience through data driven decisions aligned to our overall strategy

Requirements

  • Excellent academic background in relevant quantitative field (computer science, information management, data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other comparable quantitative discipline)
  • Proven analytical leadership experience
  • More than 5+ years leading teams and implementing analytical strategies to improve business performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience, preferable within financial services industry or wealth management sector
  • Strong expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, statistical modelling, machine learning and data visualisation techniques
  • Experience with SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), analytical methods (SAS, R, Python) and data platforms (Teradata, SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake)
  • Ability to lead and manage diverse teams, fostering collaboration, learning and development
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives
  • Strong project management skills within ability to prioritise tasks manage resources effectively and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Understanding of agile principles and experience of agile methodologies applied to data and analytics
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with senior executives and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to drive data driven- decision making
