Why this job matters

As a Commercial Data Analytics Specialist, you will be supporting the Openreach Commercial team with rich data and insights. You will be responsible for engineering rich datasets to answer business questions coming from either internal or external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for executing tactical billing or tactical reconciliation of strategic billing. This will enable the Openreach Commercial team to drive higher revenue opportunities as well as potential cost saving initiatives. All of this is a key driver of the business case behind our investment in full fibre.

 

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Engineer data tables in Datalabs and/or GCP to generate rich datasets that can be utilised for further analysis
  • Summarise engineered data in Qlik dashboards for consumption by internal and external stakeholders
  • Calculate discounts / penalties in accordance with commercial offers terms using data inputs from various systems: Atlantis, Orbit, Datalabs / GCP etc
  • Manage and automate CP reporting for commercial offers and other insights sharing activities
  • Automate all billing and reporting activities
  • Maintain 30+ existing Qlik dashboards ensuring data integrity and consistency of logic, definitions
  • Manage team of data engineering analysts to create, automate and maintain datasets and Qlik dashboards
  • Manage Roadmap of data requests through an agile Sprint method

 

You’ll need to have the following skills and experience

  • Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate
  • Experience in having built amalgamated data tables in Oracle Datalabs
  • Experience in having built, maintained, automated and productised Qlik dashboards created on the back of large amalgamated data tables
  • Experience in having worked with Billing and L2C systems in use in BT such as Siebel (CRM), FLOW (Orchestration & Fulfilment), BAL (Billing Gateway), Atlantis (Billing System) and Orbit
  • Experience in working with Rating and Billing Configuration views within RBM architecture e.g. RBM 5 System Processes such as MI Write/Complete, PR Write/Complete, Task Master, Bill Formatting etc.
  • Experience in working with Rating Process Flows starting with Call Detail Record (CDR) generation from Mediation systems.
  • Experience working on Entity-Relationship (ER) models for normalised data storage in Oracle RDBMS.
  • Version Control using Apache Subversion (SVN).
  • Source Code Documentation.
