Data and Analytics Solutions Research Engineer

You would be supporting the Data and Analytics Solutions (DAS) team within the New York-based Research and Strategy Group which is a team of Python engineers who are experts in the realm of interest rates and banking. The mandate is to find problems and provide end to end solutions to resolve them.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop data pipelines and web driven analytical tools for research
- Participate in the design and architecture of complete solutions
- Support the creation of both ad-hoc and systematic tools for treasury and market driven analytics
- Mentor / coach team members when required
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Capable of building complete python solutions (using frameworks like flask, fastapi, pandas, and airflow)
- Capable of following TDD (test driven development) using pytest
- Experience writing SQL (structured query language) and general working knowledge of databases
- Experience with continious integration and continous deployment setup and configuration (using tools like terraform, jenkins, and sonar)
- Familiarity with using a Linux environment
- Familiarity with data engineering / orchestration systems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated interest in finance/banking industry, preferred
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms
- Knowledge of data science practices preferred
