Job Description

AmaliTech seeks a highly skilled Data Architect to design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures that support analytics and business intelligence needs. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality, security, and accessibility of data across our client projects. You will work on projects such as designing enterprise data warehouses, optimizing cloud-based data lakes, and developing data integration solutions for real-time analytics. If you’re passionate about building robust data ecosystems and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, we’d love to have you on board.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain complex data models and architecture solutions to meet the organisation’s needs.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
  • Develop data integration strategies, including data flow and ETL pipelines, to connect diverse data sources.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are adhered to across all data solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to modernise data infrastructure, focusing on cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure for scalability.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a strong background in designing and implementing data platforms.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Spark, or similar
  • Experience with Python for building data pipelines and automating ETL processes
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed data storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of data security best practices, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with stakeholders at various levels.
