About the role

JLL, an international real estate management company, is seeking an Data Engineer to join our JLL Technologies Team.  We are seeking candidates that are self-starters who can work in a diverse and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate to provide Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, Azure functions, Delta Lake, Azure DevOps CI/CD along with Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality, Control M, SSMS expertise to design and build the required Solutions for our Clients. 

 
Responsibilities 

  • Independently plans, designs, develop, executes and monitor complex data integration activities to support project delivery and daily operation. 
  • Expert in defining, implementing, debugging and optimizing data integration mappings and scripts from a variety of data sources. 
  • Spearheads development of ETL code, metadata definition and models, queries, scripts, schedules, work processes and maintenance procedures and identify opportunities to optimize the sizing, performance and efficiency of existing processes/procedures. 
  • Mentors less experienced analysts on proper standards/techniques to improve their accuracy and efficiency.  
  • Perform the unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing and assist with user acceptance testing.  
  • Articulates business requirements in a technical solution that can be designed and engineered.  
  • Consults with the business to develop documentation and communication materials to ensure accurate usage and interpretation of JLL data. 
  • Develops technical understanding of how the data flows from various source systems and source types to fine tune data integration solution. 
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver data warehouse ETL projects. 
  • Adhere to established standards and best practices and provide input for improvement of those processes. 
  • Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision and can adapt to a quickly changing environment. 
  • Maintain a high-volume data warehouse application. 
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to switch between tasks and work in conflicting priorities

Experience & Education 

At least 3 to 8 years of relevant experience is desired.

Having a Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems from a reputed University 

Strong computer science fundamentals. 

Strong in communications with business stakeholders:  

Requires strong ability to communicate and manage stakeholders, and to drive collaboration between the business team and the various project teams including application support teams, network teams, database teams, and storage and server teams across the regions. 

Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills. 

Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.

  • Must have hands-on experience with commercial Integration products including Informatica PowerCenter 10.x, Data Integration Hub, Power Exchange, Informatica Cloud, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Address Doctor 
  • Must have experience in Windows PowerShell / UNIX Shell Scripting, Control-M to automate the job runs. 
  • Must have basic hands on MSSQL Server Database development experiences including: 
  • Stored Procedures 
  • Explain Plans 
  • Constraints 
  • Views 
  • Materialized Views 
  • Export/Import Utilities 
  • Must have strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. Hands on experience in performance tuning of sources, targets, mappings and sessions. 
  • Support:  
  • Ability to identify critical system health issue and flag them for discussion and resolution. 
  • Constantly questioning due to fluid processes and complexity of environment. 
  • Proven experience in common support activities including 
  • User Management 
  • Access management 
  • Object management (folder, connections, rules etc..) 
  • Backing up the repositories 
  • Code migration across multiple environments  
  • Performance diagnosis/improvement  
  • Ability to handle and co-ordinate Sev1 tickets 
  • Maintaining standards:  
  • Proven experience in following standards and helping other adopt standards  
  • Making sure that code is sync across all three environments.  
  • Ensure development teams are following appropriate standards
