Your way to impact

As a Credit Risk BI Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and automation of robust data models, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing actionable insights to support credit risk management initiatives. Your role will involve leveraging advanced SQL and Excel skills, along with proficiency in Python for automation tasks, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in risk assessment and forecasting.

Your day to day

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Excel data models to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets related to credit risk.

  • Utilize statistical techniques and forecasting methods to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks in credit portfolios.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and business intelligence, to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.

  • Design and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools to present findings effectively to stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in credit risk management to enhance analytical capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and integration with existing systems.

What do you need to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3-6 years of experience working in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on credit risk management would be an added advantage

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

  • Expertise in Excel data modelling, including pivot tables and advanced functions.

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including credit risk metrics, loan portfolios, and financial statements would be an added advantage

  • Experience with data analysis, forecasting techniques and risk modelling.

  • Proficiency in Python programming for automation tasks and data manipulation.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
