Job Description

As a member of the IGIU (Infrastructure Global Industry Unit) you will interact with different teams from across all parts of the business (including Marketing, Sales, Operations and product development) to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties encompass SQL coding and design. You’ll be tasked with deciphering business needs and translating them into SQL queries leveraging Oracle Apex and OAC. (Proficiency in Oracle Analytics Cloud or similar Business Intelligence (BI) platforms would be a distinct advantage.)
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of business data sources, including databases, systems, and applications.
  • Deliver Security specifications for new reporting data feeds and data consumption.
  • Collaborate with the business planning team to identify key business objectives and data requirements for reporting and analysis.
  • Design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards to visualise key performance indicators and business insights.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness for reporting purposes.
  • Perform data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Creation of Semantic Data models.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to data collection, storage, and processing workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Act as a SME on business data, providing mentorship and support to team members on data-related matters.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Stay updated on industry standard methodologies, new technologies, and trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, tailored to their level of understanding.

 

Qualifications:

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, and independent judgment is needed. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.

  • 8 years of software engineering or related experience.
  • 8 years of experience preferred in data modelling, data integration, and engineering for Reporting solutions.
  • 8 years of experience preferred building and managing reporting solutions e.g. OBIEE or OAC RPD development, dashboards, reports and data visualisations
  • 8 years of experience preferred with PL/SQL, ETL design, Orchestration and Release Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Mathematics or Physical/Analytical Science
