Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining a variety of data projects within the business and with our customers. You will be responsible for engaging with users, gathering business requirements, and interpreting those requirements into data related deliverables. The key objective of the data analyst will be to make data understandable to our business stakeholders through a variety of tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reliable data solutions to deliver customer outcomes.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, reports and dashboards to enable efficient reporting.
- Develop and test data pipelines to build and maintain trust in the data service.
- Work with the business to improve data accuracy.
- Collaborate with other teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
- Work closely with data scientists and data engineers to understand their requirements and provide necessary solutions utilising the tooling available.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics and data management.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with some data visualisation toolkits, PowerBI, Cognos, Talend, Tableau, SSRS / SSAS, etc.
- Experience of working within an Agile / DevOps team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field (data engineering, business intelligence, etc.)
- Familiarity with data reporting and presentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of database design, data modeling, and SQL.
- Understanding of Python and Pandas.
Additional Information
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
