This role falls under Customer 360 team, part of Marketing and Sales Analytics (MSA) organization, within the Ford GDIA organization. The team is responsible for collecting knowledge about consumers into the Ford GDIA environment, as well as cleansing, standardizing, and preparing it for the downstream users. In this role, you will support Ford’s Marketing and Sales Analytics (MSA) organization working with data scientists, and business owners to build and support analytical models.

The Data Engineer develops and manages execution of product in partnership with cross functional teams and business customers by understanding the needs and priorities of organizational stakeholders, customers, and users. Data Engineer works closely with the rest of the product team on the feasibility and desirability of the solution, as well as prioritizing the backlog.
What you’ll do…
- You will be responsible for providing support for enterprise integration tasks, including ingestion, standardization, enrichment, mastering and assembly of data sources and products for downstream applications.
- Increase Data Coverage by working closely with stakeholders and Data Scientists, understanding, and evaluating their data requirements to create meaningful, organized, and structured “information”
- Ensure all data governance needs of the business are planned and implemented
- Follow the established processes and technologies used to manage and monitor product development
- Works with Downstream Application owners, Data Scientists, and business users (M&S, FCSD, FordPass, Mobility and FMCC) to understand the requirements and establish processes to deliver customer knowledge products including real-time services
- Leverage product driven and agile approaches to partner with Data Product teams to develop and deliver required business capabilities
- Support prioritization and planning efforts with other teams – including Business and IT
- Develops Test Scenarios and Test cases. Plans and conducts UAT for the Data products
- Responsible for developing and providing the business rules and education needed to transform the data at Enterprise, Business Group and Application level
- Work primarily with customer data but can also expect to work with other data types across the enterprise including dealer, vehicle, manufacturing, etc.
- Investigate, resolve, advise on data and system issues.
- Provide visibility to quality issues and work with the business owners to fix the issues
- Operate as the single Data Operations point of contact for multiple MSA project teams, triaging requests and scoping prospective projects
You’ll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Data Science or Data Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering compiling data for data warehouse/OLAP for analytics and business uses using ETL/ELT tools
- 1+ year(s)of experience with Google Cloud Technologies, Large Language Model, Python, SQL
- 1+ year(s) of experience architecting and designing API based Data Product solutions
- 1+ year)s) of experience in working with large volumes of data, creating data & process workflow

- Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, Data Science or Data Engineering
- Knowledge and experience with Scrum/Agile methodology a plus
- Ability to communicate complex solution concepts in simple terms
- Ability to execute small and medium projects working through dependencies across multiple work streams and coordinating input from more than one team
- Demonstrated customer focus, with the ability to evaluate decisions through the eyes of the customer, build strong relationships, and create processes with customer viewpoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as facilitation and presentation skills, and engaging presentation style.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with application implementation teams, business customers, and end users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a global team member, as well as independently, in a changing environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to deliver work within deadlines.
