Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our DAAS platform, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and design efficient data models and schemas optimized for Snowflake and other databases.
- Implement data integration strategies to enable seamless data movement across different systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and integrity across Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Optimize data processing pipelines and workflows to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability within Snowflake and other database environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, including data lineage, data dictionaries, and technical specifications specific to Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, standards, and regulations, including data quality, security, and privacy requirements across Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, transformation, and integration within Snowflake and other database environments, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and analytics, specifically related to Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL, and evaluate their applicability to enhance our DAAS capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes within Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL environments.
- Hands-on experience with data integration tools and technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, or AWS Glue, specifically configured for Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and manipulation within Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL environments.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts, with expertise in Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, specifically configuring and optimizing data services for Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Azure SQL.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and streaming data processing is a plus.
