Data Engineer (Indonesia)

As a Data Pioneer, you are trusted to guide other adventurers through the database jungle. You will have to implement methods to improve data reliability and quality to make sure your team does not wind up lost. You will also be responsible to develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.

Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Interpret trends and patterns
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
• Keep data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple server or data centers.
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Able to tune and optimizing data processing
• Able to improve data quality and efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology/equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, and Powershell)
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL database design
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools and other ETL technology
• Experience in data visualization such as PowerBI
• Familiar with cloud services (i.e, EC2, RDS, Redshift, Big Query, Synapse, etc)
• Knowledge of stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
• Great numerical and analytical skills
• Data engineering certification is a plus
• Good project management and organizational skills.
