As a Data Management Platform – Project Manager Vice President in Data Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination across multiple technology teams, each with its own Product Owner and backlog. Your responsibilities will include providing stakeholders with a comprehensive view of the platform’s progress and status, as well as tracking incoming demand from key programs and acting as the primary liaison with firmwide colleagues to leverage similar capabilities.

The AWM (Asset Wealth Management) Data Management Platform encompasses critical capabilities such as Data Quality, Data Retention and Destruction, Data Lineage, and Data Discovery.

Job responsibilities

  • Serves as the central point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear and consistent updates on the status of the AWM Data Management Platform
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration between different technology teams and their respective Product Owners
  • Supports the Lead Product Owner in tracking and prioritizing incoming demand from key programs
  • Maintains a detailed demand management log and ensures timely responses to new requests
  • Develops and maintains project plans, timelines, and milestones for the AWM Data Management Platform
  • Monitors project progress and identify potential risks and issues, escalating them as necessary
  • Ensures that project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Acts as the key intersection with Firmwide and CIB (Corporate and Investment Bank) colleagues to align on similar capabilities being rolled out to ensure effective partnership
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage Firmwide solutions and ensures seamless integration with the AWM Data Management Platform
  • Prepares regular status reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, and decision logs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Seasoned experience in project management, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, including Data Quality, Data Retention and Destruction, Data Lineage, Data Discovery & Privacy, and Access and Entitlements
  • Exposure to, and an understanding of the technical infrastructure needed to implement those principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and manage complex projects
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus
