Job Description
The Data Product Manager plays a crucial role in developing and managing data-driven products or features within the company.
He/She is a strong support for the Center of Excellence (CoE) manager and a key partner for the business.
He/she is a facilitator for the CoE team experts around the reporting portfolio and collaborate regularly with the IT stakeholders.
Main activities:
- Product Strategy: Developing and refining the strategy for data products in alignment with overall business goals and objectives. This involves understanding market needs, customer requirements, and technology trends.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with stakeholders, Organize and lead workshops in order to scope, gather, analyze & challenge business requirements.
Design and write functional specifications for reporting projects.
- Roadmap Planning: Propose, maintain & animate the Reporting roadmap for the development and enhancement of data products. This involves prioritizing features, defining milestones, and setting timelines based on business priorities and internal/external resource availabilities versus Budget. Ensure priorities and their delivery by involving stakeholders.
- Standardize: Set up standards & ensure to respect Somfy’s golden rules.
Respect data privacy laws (DPO) and security requirements.
- Environment to facilitate knowledge improvement: Create a great work environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, and high performance, and empower Team to ensure ongoing learning and skill development. Setup the appropriate technical stack and accompanying process to end user or power user and CoE team to get started with the solution provided and improve the adoption.
Performance key indicators
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the data product’s usage:
- Usage Metrics by measuring the adoption and usage of data products.
- Measure the End User satisfaction.
- Measure the time taken to launch new features or iterations of the data product: aim to reduce the Reporting construction costs.
- Monitor the frequency of product updates and releases, ensuring that the product remains competitive and aligned with evolving requirements.
- Build the Reporting Budget with CoE Manager and Stakeholders (collect the needs, propose the adapted plan & help for arbitration).
- Respect the Reporting Budget.
Qualifications
Experience
- Data Product Manager or similar role.
- Designing and delivering successful data products.
- Reporting/BI solutions.
- Strong background in agile methodologies, with a track record of leading successful agile product development teams
- Management competencies needed: transversal and project team management.
- Language : English (B1/B2 level)
- Minima years of experience: 3-5 years

- Identifying areas for improvement and optimization based on data-driven insights.
- Ability to translate business needs into innovative and user-friendly product designs.
- Deep understanding of data and technology landscapes.
- PowerBI knowledge (not mandatory).

- Long term contract, located in Cluses
- Remote working : 90 days a year
