The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company’s data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm’s commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.

The Firmwide Chief Data Office is responsible for maximizing the value and impact of data globally, in a highly governed way.  It consists of several teams focused on accelerating JPMorgan Chase’s data, analytics and AI journey, including data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation and talent. 

The Firmwide Data Quality Lead is a key role in the Firmwide Chief Data Office organization.  This role is responsible for establishing data quality standards, procedures and tracking data quality risks across the firm. This role interacts heavily with our technology and products teams, lines of business and corporate functions.  This is a high-profile role position which is key for executing on our data governance strategy by managing, and maintaining data quality across the organization.  A successful candidate will be able to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the firm as well as the second and third line of defense. Excellent written and oral communications skills required and the ability to engage with senior leaders across the business.  A strong data background is required with experience in data quality monitoring, remediation and issue management.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evolution of Data Quality Item Management process and tooling 
  • Track progress and manage remediation work on regulatory matters related to data quality 
  • Support the rollout of the Data Governance Lifecycle across the enterprise
  • Engage relevant CDOs and their teams to ensure data quality requirements are met and data quality risk monitoring algins to firmwide expectations 
  • Partner with the Product organization to define and implement key Data “capabilities” (e.g., data lineage, data quality monitoring, remediation) 
  • Coordinate the management and mitigation of Data Quality risk in partnership with LOB/CF CDOs
  • Work with high degree of independence, be self-motivated and tenacious
  • Develop and bring valuable insights on Data Quality standards and Data Quality Risk Management to the leadership team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong data governance, data quality and interpersonal skills – must have the ability to build strong working relationships key stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment 
  • Adept at partnering with centralized change organizations to create and execute roadmaps
  • Experience working in a large, regulated matrix environment 
  • Experience working under the oversight of Risk, Audit and Regulatory Supervision 
  • A strong data, analytics or product background is important. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, data quality, reporting and performance monitoring 
  • Experience in project management or transformational change
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change 
  • Proven ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other organizations – with the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment to build consensus
  • Effective communicator with excellent written communication skills.      
  • Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence.
  • Ability to present to senior and global business heads through excellent written and oral communication skills
