Arrowhead is looking for a Data Science Analyst to join our Data & Analytics Team!

Join us as a Data Science Analyst and play a pivotal role in our collaborative efforts with internal business leaders. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue, improving operational efficiencies, and communicating profound insights through rigorous data analysis.

Our growing team of data analysts and scientists are engaged in all parts of the data science product lifecycle: from obtaining raw data, cleaning data and performing an exploratory data analysis, developing and evaluating models, and finally deploying APIs in our production environment. Our team also develops and maintains dashboards to help businesses monitor their operations and track their KPIs.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Independently collaborate with business stakeholders; understand their challenges and structure analytical solutions
  • Author and maintain reproducible analytical scripts and programs (R, Python, SQL)
  • Create data-driven products (analytics reports, dashboards) to provide impactful business insight
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to obtain access to various data sources (SQL databases)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of production APIs
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal tools and software packages

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced SQL
  • Demonstrated experience with communicating technical information or sharing data insights to non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages (R, Python) and version control (git)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of analytics experience including business intelligence or data analytics
  • Strong programming skills, especially in R and SQL
  • Strong demonstrated use of R packages  (tidyverse, Shiny, duckdb, quarto)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to translate technical results for business audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Special attention to detail and accuracy with a specific focus on timeliness and productivity
  • Experience in the insurance (property and casualty) industry
