As part of our Analytics and Insights Consumption team, you’ll analyze data to drive useful insights for clients to address core business issues or to drive strategic outcomes. You’ll use visualization, statistical and analytics models, AI/ML techniques, Modelops and other techniques to develop these insights.

Job Description: GenAI Data Scientist – Senior Manager (PwC US AC)

PwC US – Acceleration Center is seeking a highly accomplished GenAI Data Scientist to join our team as a Senior Manager. This leadership role involves overseeing the strategic development and execution of machine learning models and algorithms for our advanced GenAI projects. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in data science, deep expertise in GenAI technologies, and a proven track record of leading large-scale data-driven projects with significant impacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and expand a large team of data scientists and analysts in crafting and implementing sophisticated GenAI solutions tailored to complex business problems.

  • Strategically guide the development, validation, and scaling of innovative machine learning models and algorithms across multiple GenAI projects.

  • Champion the full data processing lifecycle, including advanced data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering techniques to optimize data quality and analytics readiness.

  • Facilitate robust collaborations with data engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure seamless data integrations and alignments with business objectives.

  • Lead the rigorous evaluation of model effectiveness using advanced metrics and adapt strategies to enhance performance and scalability.

  • Oversee the deployment of production-grade machine learning solutions, ensuring they meet high standards for reliability and scalability.

  • Promote the use of top-tier programming skills in Python, R, or Scala to develop and maintain high-quality software components for data analysis.

  • Drive the adoption and management of Kubernetes for streamlined container orchestration and efficient deployment of applications.

  • Innovate and implement cutting-edge data-driven products such as chatbots and other AI-powered tools using the latest in GenAI technologies.

  • Present complex data insights and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders through detailed reports, visualizations, and strategic presentations.

  • Advocate for the forefront of GenAI technology adoption, enhancing data science practices and leading sector innovation.

  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement by mentoring team members and fostering a learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 13+ years of significant experience in data science, with a specialized focus on GenAI projects.

  • Exceptional skills in programming with Python, R, or Scala, and deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

  • Comprehensive experience in managing large datasets, performing complex data preprocessing, and applying feature engineering.

  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and sophisticated data visualization tools.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop large data science teams.

  • Outstanding strategic, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#.

  • Documented success in deploying machine learning applications in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory compliance within a corporate context.

  • Advanced certifications in data science or GenAI technologies.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with specific AI tools such as Azure AI Search, Azure Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI, AWS Textract, AWS Open Search, AWS Bedrock.

  • Experience with LLM backed agent frameworks like Autogen, Langchain, Semantic Kernel, and proficiency in chatbot development.
