Capco’s Data & Analytics Team works with a wide range of financial services clients across capital markets, banking & payments (including anti-financial crime), wealth & asset management, insurance and energy domains.
About the Job:
As a member of our Data & Analytics Team, you will work across Capco’s different domains and solution offerings to help break down large problems, develop approaches and solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will create tailor-made solutions from complex client anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-financial crime (AFC) data applying mathematical, problem-solving, and coding skills to manage big data to extract valuable insights for our clients.

- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code as needed
- Design and implement of big data AML & AFC solutions
- Support implementation of data pipelines/data warehouses/data marts/ODSs/Lakehouses
- Collaborate and work on integration of big data models
What You’ll Bring with You:
- 6+ years of demonstrated hands on data science experience — preferably in consulting or financial services
- Success working in ANY ONE of the following Data Science, Analytics and Management technology areas, including but not limited to:
- Strong analytical skills in data analysis and data processing, direct experience in operating “big data,” and can leverage modern modelling techniques (including statistical analysis) to remediate and enhance Transaction Monitoring capabilities
- Experience working with Transaction Monitoring models or other AFC / AML modelling including model remediation, tuning and performance
- Design, modify, and execute quant statistical and analytical methods to ensure a proper assessment / interpretation of model metrics
- Familiar with AML/CTF transaction monitoring guidance and requirements (specifically OCC 2011-12 Supervisory Guidance on Model Risk Management)
- Experience writing and supporting Python code, Spark, Scala, R
- Experience developing complex SQL queries
- PL/SQL development experience with enterprise software systems
- Experience developing Shell scripts and Python programs to automate tasks
- Knowledge of BI Solutions (MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, etc.)
- Experience with Hadoop, CI/CD processes, and Git Branching
- Hands-on technical experience working with AML Transaction Monitoring systems (like Mantas and/or Actimize).

The estimated salary range for this position in NY is $110,000 – 195,000 plus potential bonus and benefits.
